The project
The WARRIOR project aims to promote dialogue and discussion which are crucial elements for identifying false information and avoiding falling into their trap.
It is aimed at promoting the safety of young people in the digital environment, as greater awareness of possible manipulation can help them build the digital skills and abilities necessary to avoid scams and scams, strengthening their sense of initiative in the social field.
By participating in this initiative, young people have the opportunity to be more incisive with their decisions and opinions and to proactively influence social processes, encouraging more effective cooperation.
The project is approved by the National Agency for Youth in Italy in the framework of the “Erasmus Plus KA220 – Cooperation Partnerships In Youth” program and it is granted by the European Commission
Aims
The project aims in particular to improve the digital skills of youth workers in identifying false information and manipulation and to develop innovative digital educational content that promotes young people’s safety in virtual environments.
In addition to understanding the impact of manipulative technologies, the contents developed by WARRIOR enable youth workers to know how to manage personal and social relationships in the digital age, being able to evaluate the risks of digitalisation and being able to make informed and reasoned decisions, encouraging new opportunities to network, collaborate and participate in social development. Moreover, the effective use of digital technologies has the potential to develop positive and sustainable changes in the field of non-formal education and the promotion of innovative methods of education. Furthermore, the project promotes better and more appropriate use of social media. It uses a new multidisciplinary approach, in particular psychological, to study fake news and manipulation, which is aimed at improving the capacity and innovation of working with young people.
The project wants to improve the media literacy of young people in the virtual environment, improving their digital skills to promote the fight against falsification and manipulation through social media, providing a theoretical background and a practical analysis of cases of fake news and manipulation techniques. The project is also directed to encourage collaboration within the youth sector by facilitating interactions between peers, experts and organizations from other countries involved in the project with the aim of providing networking opportunities.

Results
The Results to ve developed during the projects are the following:
- E-Handbook “Trickeries Guide”
E-Handbook “Trickeries Guide” involves the creation of a Manual aimed at providing theoretical knowledge and analysis of practical cases of manipulation techniques in a virtual environment, highlighting how manipulation influences the values and deep needs of young people. The manual also includes real-life examples to demonstrate, on the one hand, how manipulation affects young people’s values and needs and, on the other hand, how by improving their ability to recognize and resist manipulation, young people feel more confident and more engaged and therefore participate more in civic life
