Within WP2 of the WARRIOR project, a youth focus group held in Poland analysed fake and misleading news related to the war in Ukraine and local community issues. Participants reported strong emotional reactions such as fear, anger, and indignation, followed by attempts to verify information through other sources. The discussion highlighted how panic, emotional involvement, and apparently reliable websites can weaken critical thinking. Participants emphasized the importance of fact-checking, official sources, and a more skeptical approach to provocative headlines.
