**Participants involved: 14 – Bonn, Germany, 02/09/2025** The WP4 Short Intensive Training for youth workers and trainers on “Digital Safeguarding” was hosted by Erasmus ME Academy in Bonn on 2 September 2025. The one‑day course aimed to equip youth workers with the knowledge and skills needed to manage virtual environments safely, detect fake information and manipulation, and support young people in navigating online spaces. The training covered two modules. Module 1 (“Peculiarities of Youth Worker Training”) explored key competencies for working with young people on cyber‑security, the purpose and structure of social media content, and best practices for protecting personal information. Module 2 (“Tools, Practices and Methodological Recommendations”) introduced practical approaches for safe navigation in the virtual world, media literacy fundamentals, the psychology of manipulation, critical thinking and fact‑checking techniques, and an ecological approach to digital communication. Delivered through focused lectures, practical exercises and group discussions, the course strengthened participants’ critical awareness and provided them with concrete tools to support young people against online manipulation and fraud. Feedback indicated high satisfaction and a sense of increased confidence in digital safeguarding.
