Participants involved: 83 – Ukraine, online, 31/01/2025–01/02/2025
The WP3 pilot training in Ukraine was implemented by the Ukrainian Center of the Future (UCF) in an online format, due to the ongoing war context, security risks, blackouts, and missile attacks. Despite these challenges, the pilot successfully engaged a large group of young participants, ensuring continuity of learning and inclusion across different regions of the country.
The training focused on the WP3 course Fraud Identifier: Depiction for Media Awareness, aiming to strengthen young people’s ability to recognize fraud, misinformation, and manipulation techniques in digital and traditional media. Particular attention was given to fake news related to war, humanitarian aid, identity narratives, and emotional manipulation.
The pilot followed a modular structure composed of five interconnected learning units, covering media literacy, manipulation strategies, social dynamics, critical thinking, and the psychosocial effects of digital media. Interactive methods, discussions, and practical examples were used to maintain engagement in the online environment.
Participants demonstrated strong involvement and awareness, highlighting the relevance of the training in a context where information warfare and disinformation are daily realities. The pilot confirmed the importance of adaptable learning formats and critical media education for young people living in crisis situations.
