Pilot training WP4 – Italy

Participants involved: 14 – Potenza, Italy, 18/07/2025
EURO‑NET organised the WP4 Short Intensive Training on “Digital Safeguarding” in Potenza on 18 July 2025. This face‑to‑face session formed part of the WARRIOR project’s work package 4 and gathered 14 youth workers for a full‑day programme aimed at enhancing their capacity to protect young people in digital environments. The course followed the official WP4 structure. Module 1 (“Peculiarities of Youth Worker Training”) focused on developing core skills for working with young people on cyber‑security, including recognising harmful disclosure and structuring safe social media content. Module 2 (“Tools, Practices and Methodological Recommendations”) provided hands‑on guidance on safe navigation, media literacy and internet safety, manipulation techniques, critical thinking and fact‑checking, and balancing virtual and real‑world communication. Through a mix of lectures, case studies and interactive exercises, participants improved their understanding of digital threats, media manipulation and safeguarding strategies. The training reinforced their ability to support young people and confirmed the relevance of the WP4 curriculum in the Italian context.
