Participants involved: 21 – Warsaw, Poland, 21–22/06/2025
The Polish partner, DIP – International Center of Dialogue, Innovations and Future, hosted a two‑day WP4 Short Intensive Training for youth workers on “Digital Safeguarding” at its headquarters in Toruń on 21 and 22 June 2025. Twenty‑one participants attended the training, which aimed to strengthen their capacity to manage virtual environments, recognise manipulation and support young people’s online safety. The course adhered to the WP4 curriculum. Module 1 (“Peculiarities of Youth Worker Training”) explored key competencies for youth work on cyber‑security, strategies to avoid harmful disclosure, the purpose and structure of social media content, and approaches to working with groups on data protection. Module 2 (“Tools, Practices and Methodological Recommendations”) offered practical tools for safe navigation, media literacy and internet safety, examined manipulation techniques and the values they exploit, and introduced critical thinking and fact‑checking methods along with balanced digital communication practices. According to the evaluation results, participants expressed high satisfaction and significant improvements in their ability to detect manipulation and guide young people effectively. The training demonstrated the adaptability of the WP4 methodology to the local context and underscored the importance of digital safeguarding in youth work.
